Spectrum Unlimited LLC - Desktop Software Privacy Policy
Effective: June 10, 2025
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the desktop software developed and distributed by Spectrum Unlimited LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). It is separate from the privacy policy for our website and describes how we handle data related to the desktop software.
1. Overview. The desktop software runs locally on your device and processes your data — including names, dates of birth, email addresses, messages, and greeting content — entirely on your device. Spectrum Unlimited LLC does not access, collect, or transmit this personal data except as described below.
2. Data Collection & Usage. Spectrum Unlimited LLC itself does not collect or store any personal data entered or generated within the software. The only exceptions are:
- License Validation: The software sends your license key and a hashed device identifier (such as a hashed MAC address or volume UUID) to our licensing server to verify your license. This data is used solely for license validation and not for any other purpose.
- Optional Email Integration: If you authorize Gmail or Outlook within the software to send emails on your behalf, OAuth tokens for this authorization are stored locally on your device. These tokens are not shared with or accessible by Spectrum Unlimited LLC. The software also stores the email address used during authorization locally, so it can be shown to you for your convenience. Any information shared by Gmail or Outlook is used exclusively to send emails on your behalf and is not used for any other purpose. You may revoke this access at any time from within the software or via your email provider's security settings.
3. No Analytics, Ads, or Tracking. The desktop software:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not include third-party trackers or analytics
- Does not collect usage data or personal information beyond what is required for licensing
4. Data Sharing. Spectrum Unlimited LLC does not sell or share your personal data. Limited licensing data may be shared only:
- When required by law
- To prevent fraud or abuse
- To protect our rights
5. Data Security. Communications with our licensing server are encrypted. However, since all user data is stored locally, you are responsible for securing your device against unauthorized access or loss.
6. Children's Privacy. The desktop software is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The most recent version will be available within the software and on our website.
